King Canary Brewing is a family owned and operated brewery located in Mooresville, NC. They brew a wide range of beer styles, drawing inspiration from England, Belgium and Germany. They came to Taphandles to create a fun, light-hearted handle to represent their brand on tap.
Good, Clean (slate), Fun.
King Canary Brewing came to Taphandles with very limited branding or graphic materials, as they were a microbrewery in planning, looking to grow. Their taproom featured a set of hand-carved wooden canary tap handles. They have progressively built upon the playfulness of their brand, developing patterns and iconography to appeal to a broader audience with a strong love for craft beer.
Aviary Inspiration
Aesthetically, I wanted this handle to be light-hearted and fun to use and look at. Canaries are adorable creatures, and this handle should be no different. Using saturated colors and exaggerated proportions, the King would be crowned.
